Such a good book, regarding bringing up the tough questions to ask prior to marriage. My, now husband, and I went through this while we were dating. We were apart for a while and so we would go through the book on our own and write down or highlight things we wanted to talk about. I really opened to doors for us to be honest with ourselves, each other, and our expectations of what we were wanting out of our marriage. When we went to see a Chaplain prior to our marriage, he asked us a lot of similar hard questions, and we had the answers. We knew we were on the same page, and he said we were one of the most prepared couples he'd ever interviewed in pre-martial counseling.
This book is a MUST for any couple; whether newly dating, engaged, or married for years. This book was suggested as a part of couples therapy and it has been such a fun experience to go through it together with my partner. It gets you communicating about things that you often overlook, but that become very important parts of any relationship! I’ve recommended it to many friends and can’t wait to complete it... then do it again in a few years!
Parents had used earlier version and suggested the boyfriend and I read this book first once we started talking about getting married... Great read and had me thinking of questions i'd never would have thought of.
Great resource. I'm a pastor and I give copies to all of the couples in pre-marital counseling from my church.
