Information for extreme newbies with a poorly executed layout of ideas. Take photos of: everything. Pre and post. All temp containment, all masking, and all equipment on job. Clean the driveway after taking a picture of it too. Boom just saved you purchase of book. No drying techniques are discussed. Here's my adjuster loving tip. Tent it. Decrease the volume of air around the wet material. Plastic off the walls/floor and force air behind/under plastic. Dry places and materials of all type in half the time. But then again how will restoration companies justify 5+ days of drying and being overall crooks...
Love the book.. I'm a business owner, adding this on to my current carpet cleaning services. I wasn't sure which direction to go after I got iicrc certified.. I have never done flood remediation before. I have since read the book 3 times, and did the sheets along with them.. I know have a good understanding of the process that needs to happen when you get called on a job.. it's a great book and it's very organized.
It is a cute booklet (note not a book imo) but not worth 35.
This will hopefully eliminate a lot of frustrations because of its one-step-at-a-time approach! Excited to roll it out to our techs!
