This is NOT a bedtime story for kids! While it is an interesting concept, it is sad and not appropriate for kids at all. Especially do not read at bedtime. The cover looks like it should be for kids, but it is not. I'm glad I read the reviews on this and decided not to read it to my kids. I write children's books, and I would not put that it's a bedtime story in the title if there people dying of the black death. Hopefully the next stories in the series are more appropriate for kids.
Nope. No Black Death bedtime stories for my four and a half year old daughter. I will never again buy a bedtime story based on the cover alone...if only there was a famous saying that could have guided my decision making...Anyway, this book is not appropriate for little kids. It also looks like it came out of a dot matrix printer in the author's bedroom. Total waste of money.
I started reading this book to my 4 year older bedtime but was a but surprised by the mention of the bubonic plaque. Then everyone was dying... I especially like the part where it's mentioned that it's "mothers best stitching" and also the last stitching she's ever going to do. @Ken - are you serious to call this a bedtime story for kids? Next time put a sickle and a few dead people on the cover so we know that this is NOT a children's story!
My daughter wanted to read this book because it had a pretty pink unicorn. A couple pages in and they are talking about plague and death. Not ideal for the age group of 3-8.
not what I expected at all it was about the plague I thought it was a cute bedtime story for my kid and people kept dying.
Very interesting and educating book! Kids loves and cant wait for the next time, sometimes we spend hours on reading some books , because they are very ineresting
